The spoken vox on this track is from a conversation David Carlson, Monkey Marc and I had with elder and Knowledge-Man, Steve Jampijimpa on the 2nd eve of our arrival to the Warlpiri Community of Lajamanu, NT. The chorus vox, sang by a girl named Zaramia, along with some of the bass melody and percussion (by Erlinda and Tegan) emerged from the wrkshop we conducted earlier that day. Steve's father, Jerry Jangala can be heard singing in the outro. Once I started editing and dubbing this song out in post, I realized this track offered something unique and unlike any of the other Outback tracks I'd ever recorded. Big thanks to InCite Youth Arts for their funding and support in this project! Pls Enjoy!!!
