"oh hi – it’s me dj don't judge. before we start to play, i have something to say..

i am a queer dj and activist. i use my sets as a platform to talk about social agenda – like queer rights, feminism, antiracism, anti-war movement, safety in night spaces. i do this through special audio intros – like the one you’re hearing now – this is my way of raising awareness to a diverse audience. this has also been a tool for speaking out in authoritarian regimes where i’ve lived – in russia and turkey.

another thing you should know about me is that i like to challenge the music industry’s hierachies, snobism and the idea of what a dj is – i do this through interaction with the audience and a kitschy sound. i suggest fun or self-exploration activities on the dance floor and mix somewhat serious tunes with memes and pop-references to spark human connection across cultures. this is my way of making djing more inclusive.

my sets are a safer space for self-expression – here you can listen or not listen, move or not move how you want. same with this mix. it consists of two parts – an interactive one with tasks and one with just music. you’re free to follow the tasks as you wish or skip to the second part straightaway. the only thing to remember is safety – your own and of people around.
