Join the 2021–2022 Meadows Museum Student Collective for Behind the Scenes of the Meadows Museum: The Secret of the Lady, a podcast that explores the story of the museum’s 1621 painting “Portrait of a Lady” by Bartolomé González y Serrano, from being made to being displayed.
In Episode 1, Katie Davis and Daphne Tsitsonis speak to Anne Lenhart, Collections Manager at the Meadows Museum at SMU. We’ll learn about how integral collections work is to the inner workings of a museum, and how a painting like “Portrait of a Lady” physically makes its way across the world to be hung on the museum’s wall.
For a verbal description of the painting “Portrait of a Lady” please listen to our episode titled “Verbal Description - Portrait of a Lady.” To view an image of “Portrait of a Lady” online, please visit meadowsmuseumdallas.org/podcasts.
