Burdensome Gratitude by A Voice in the Wilderness published on 2024-04-26T14:26:43Z Blessed be the name of Jehovah, for He is sufficient. Thank you, Lord, for the feebleness of my body and the fragility of my soul; with these inflictions I understand both mercy and rejuvenation. What words can I offer that carry the weight of this burdensome gratitude? This path you have set is long and winding, narrow and blurred. My feet stumble and trip as your breath guides me ever forward and beckons me to you. When my breath falters, you speak. When my words are not sufficient, you give me wisdom. In awe of you I tremble. Before I thought and became, you had laid the foundations of the earth as the morning stars sang. In my cognitive brokenness I am hovering outside of time, suspended only by your grace. Call me to walk with you in the waves of faith so that I may see and believe. Blessed are those who have not yet seen and yet believe. Pluck out my eyes, oh Lord, so that they cannot cause my faith to waiver. Be my guide so that my lying eyes cannot deceive me. Selah. Genre Religion & Spirituality
