At 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN films from the project A Sense of Place will be shown during one screening at Schauburg Kino and during repeated screenings at the Open Air, always free of admission:
Screening at Schauburg Kino: Thursday, 18 April 2024, 3:30 pm
Screenings at Open Air: The films will be repeatedly screened between 10 am and 2 pm.
These screenings will be accompanied by poetic audiocasts, which can be accessed and listened to here. In these audiocasts, locals that recently moved to Dresden from far out places are discovering this city anew and Wim Wenders is talking about the idea of A Sense of Place. These audiocasts are associated with two specific places in Dresden that can be visited while listening to them.
Audiocast 1 and 2 are imagined to be listened to, while at Alaunpark near the main festival cinema Schauburg in Dresden.
Audiocast 3 is imagined to be listened to while standing above the stairs next to the Open Air at FILMFEST DRESDEN. Address: Brühlsche Terrassen, right next to Schloßplatz, Dresden.
