Twilight of a Dying Star by Cycle Offset

My name is Joseph O'Connell. I use the artist name of Cycle Offset as a music producer and on my very small YouTube channel showcasing live recordings with a variety of synths.

Twilight of a Dying Star is my debut offering. After spending decades as a weekend warrior in local bands and dabbling in music production, I decided to "get serious" about this personal passion project of mine - creating and producing ambient music. After years of building skills, and then deliberately honing those skills over the past year or so, I am finally ready to present my work to a larger audience.

The motivation for this album, like much of my previous work and works in progress, is that the listener is taken on a journey - experiencing many aspects of life and existence through the ambient palette. Indeed, this album is reflective of my own life experiences as I attempt to explore themes like excitement, sorrow, beauty, regret, and anticipation.

As far as genre goes, this album probably fits best in the Space Ambient side of the spectrum. One thing I feel I excel at is presenting contrasting textures, taking you, the listener, on a journey from the highest of highs to deepest of depths. That is life. That is existence. I absolutely adore music that takes me places, and I humbly attempt to do the same.

This is my first album and I would be ecstatic to hear feedback. I hope some of you find it moving and worthwhile.
