Since first joining the label in 2021 on the third instalment of their emerging artist series ‘Reflections 03’ with his composition ‘Table Cloth’, Cephas has delivered a string of highly respected singles and EPs, amassing over 13.5 million streams in just a handful of releases. Including an ambient rework of Anjunadeep trio Cubicolor’s ‘Machine Keys’ and a 5-track collaborative EP with #1 Billboard charting Christian singer-songwriter Elle Limebear. With an intention to produce music for peace, contemplation and stillness, his sound has resonated with audiences far and wide, captivating a sold out 325-capacity room at his debut live show at East-London’s Night Tales Loft in early February of this year. In celebration of World Piano Day, Cephas presents his single ‘Fading Anxieties’, a slow and soothing piano-led lullaby. “Anxiety, for me, is a prompt towards space. Spiritual, physical and sensory space. “I need space” is what I’d say to myself. That’s why there are many audible, intentional gaps in this song - to help decelerate and allow room for the anxiety to slowly fade.” - Cephas Cephas Azariah ‘Fading Anxieties’, out now on Reflections.
