Computer Vision in Production - Ruben Cardene by Computer Vision in Production published on 2021-01-26T09:09:39Z Ruben Cardenes is physicist and PhD in Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence with over 15 years of academic and professional experience in Computer Vision. He has a strong academic background in medical imaging with research and teaching experience in three different universities, serving as reviewer in top journals and conferences (MedIA, IEEE T. on Medical Imaging, MICCAI, ISBI) and contributing with more than 20 journal publications and over 40 international conference publications. He has participated in projects with institutions like Harvard Medical School, Imperial College London, Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin or UPF in Barcelona, in applications ranging from neuroimaging, cardiovascular imaging and single cellular analysis. He joined AstraZeneca (formerly Definiens) in 2015 where he was leading a team located in Munich and Boston that applied novel image analysis techniques in large populations for the development of immunotherapy treatments. He works since 2019 at Hensoldt Ventures (Munich) as expert in Computer Vision and AI, in real time object detection, tracking and classification with special focus in drone applications, such as anti-UAV systems or drone autonomous flying.
