Gary Robert Miller - Apex Peak Music gary robert miller Apex Gary Robert Miller is a cousin of Ola Belle Campbell Reed. She was from Ashe County, NC and played with Gary's step granddad, Elmer Elliot in a mountain string band called the North Carolina Ridge Runners. Gary spent his early years denying the power of mountain music in the foothills of North Carolina outside Winston-Salem knocking around in bands like The Missing Links, The Individuals and the Vandals. They were below AWBs. After many years of “jumping around the bonus room” with an electric guitar Gary returned to acoustic music being drawn back in through the church. “Once you have time to consider things, singing to God is the most important thing you can do.” Then came the bluegrass period where Gary sang and played reso guitar with More Grass For Less, later called the Riverwood Life Boys. “We had the privilege to play about every school auditorium in Johnston County.” Today Gary is blessed to sing and play at area churches and for Alpha ministry events. He has converted that bonus room into recording studio and has been fortunate enough to work and record with impressive up and coming talented musicians like Kristen Scott, Ian Verhaeghe (aka the Haitian artist known as Frank-Marc) and Seth Pierce. Living in Apex he manages a music business called Apex Peak Music. You can hear Gary's work in other bands on Reverbnation.com by searching Peak City Blues Project, Jordan Lake Swimmers and Long Time Gone Band.
