Artree Music Artree was born in 2008 at South Hill Park in Bracknell after deciding to put on an open mic night at the Arts Centre. Founded by Adrian Holden and Phil Daniels, it quickly grew into a flourishing community of musicians and fans alike, providing a first independent platform for the freshest young artists on the London’s circuit and beyond. The monthly night has now seen the likes of Jim Moray, Martha Tilston, Richard Digance, Jamie Woon, Matthew & The Atlas, Anna Tabbush, Bob Fox, Jackie Leven, Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell, Amy Wadge & Pete Wiley all grace the stage. Taking the blueprint of what has made Artree work so well, Artree Records was founded in June 2009 priding itself on creating a close working family in which to allow artists to develop at their own pace. Production on most releases is handled by Al Heslop from Creative Control Studios. Artree has released, or is currently primed to release records by All Things Considered, Phoebe Wright and Scattered Few. There is even talk of putting out an Artree Label debut compilation record – Watch this space! Continuing to evolve out of the sometimes faceless vacuum of the music industry for honest, independent champions of good music, Artree endeavours to fill that gap and push the boundaries of music well into 2014 and beyond.
