LOG#039 by Auriscenes published on 2021-06-10T03:21:49Z What a phenomenon I've stumbled upon! While on my way to another gig, I've spotted a new mass in the midst of a curiously arranged cluster of no fewer than seven stars. It's a jagged, stony thing, chaotically spinning in place due to what can only be a horrendously complex gravity field. Fascinated, I (perhaps foolishly) venture over to investigate it. The entire path is a fight against the insistent pull of each star, but I manage to reach the spot without issue. I quickly discover the origin of this burgeoning knot of rock when a few asteroids smash into it. The stars must be trapping anything that gets too close and flinging it to this specific point in space. As I observe, numerous chunks of material are piled on to the mess, causing others to be knocked away from the main clump only to be pushed right back into it. As more and more material collides, the stability of the rapidly-forming world diminishes. Finally one large chunk smashes into it and the whole thing explodes, sending pieces rocketing off in every direction. Were I to stay, I'd likely be able to watch a new configuration of matter form in the next iteration of the cycle. However, I must be off. The next gig awaits, and now I have to deal with an asteroid field on my way out. Like & follow to be notified when new worlds are found! Genre Storytelling
