As one of the most sought after upcoming producers/songwriters on the Canadian/American and International scene, Brett Rosenberg has worked on projects such as Cléopatre (Mercury France), Velvet Empire (Universal), JackSOUL (BMG), and Laura Pausini (Warner Bros). He has provided remixes for Craig David, played guitar for Jamelia (Parlophone), composed and produced music for Mattel (Barbie), Budweiser, Tim Horton's, Dodge, Ford, Hot Wheels and Fisher Price, and has had many of his songs/productions go top 50 on AC radio. In 2007, Canadian Idol star Billy Klippert (Orange, Canada) released his 2nd album which featured the hit single “Going Under” co-written by Brett and Universal’s Luke McMaster. The Video went to number one on the Much More Music video charts.
As a songwriter, Brett’s most recent successes include: "Fly Away" featured on Jim Brickman's grammy nominated album entitled "Faith", as well as “Mon Amour” co-written with Brett’s longtime friend and British songwriter extraordinaire Blair Mackichan (Lilly Allen, Will Young, Trace Adkins) for the 2009 NRJ Music Award winning album and French musical “Cléopâtre, La Derrière Reine D’Egypte” (Mercury, France). The musical opened in Paris, France on January 29th, 2009 and due to it’s overwhelming success, 15 additional shows in Paris and 20 more in the rest of France were added.
Brett, born and raised in Toronto, Canada, began his musical journey at the age of 4 with formal guitar and piano lessons at the Yamaha Music School; moved on to arts schools, and music production/technology classes at McGill University. His strength is working on many different styles of music, and collaborating with other songwriter’s and artists alike, as a producer and songwriter.
In 2005, Brett relocated to London, England and was invited to join an international band on the verge of a major record deal, playing guitar and singing backing vocals. Initially a Polydor & BMG venture “The Odd Dogs”, consisting of 2 Brits, a Russian, a Swede, an American and a Canadian, recorded an album and played shows all over England and did two tours of Sweden.
In 2008, returning focus to his main interest of music production & songwriting, Brett moved to Los Angeles, California where he spent 2 years.
Brett currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
