Awards
Bursary Domenico De Paoli (1986) by the Fiesole Music School (supported by the Maestros Goffredo Petrassi and Carlo Maria Giulini). First prize at the Jazz orchestra composition contest in Barga (1986). First prize as best work of art joining music and poetry at the Traiettorie Sonore Contest in Como (1995) with the solo performance "Sandro Penna: letture al saxofono" (Claudio Lugo author and performer). First prize at the International Composition Contest “Franco Evangelisti” (1999) established by Nuova Consonanza in Rome, with the work “Tamburi di latta”, for two percussions and orchestra.

Claudio Lugo's works have been broadcasted by RAI Radio 3 in several occasions, both live and recorded, with interviews by the main speakers of the national radio
He has also written articles and edited chapters for major musical and music therapy publications.
He has released CDs for Mode Records, Leo Records, Cuneiform Records, Felmay Records, Itinera, Amirani Records, Auditorium Milano, Dynamic Records.
Since 2010 Lugo is running a research project (Playing for the Elves) based on recording impromptu performance in some naturalistic places around the world.
