Drone Of The Week #30 2014: my Grainwave Synthesizer is ready for going live by Cork City Gamelan published on 2014-07-25T11:29:30Z Three sound grains of a recording of Denis O'Sullivan ( https://soundcloud.com/denmus ) reading from Nova Express, each between 5 and 8 milliseconds long, used as oscillators in my wavetable synth - a part of my home made granular synthesis toolkit. The Nerd Info: It has three oscillators and three highly controllable filters. Human voice grains used as oscillators are very rich in unusual overtones. This is a single take recording with no post processing ... and the only thing I am actually "playing" are the filters. I have made this one available for download as an uncompressed file - the Soundcloud MP3 has lost some of the dynamics ... Genre Not Lalala Comment by Rumblin_Cynth_Rampo Wonderful wonderful tones. 2018-01-04T11:49:39Z Comment by ariadmusic It reminds me a little bit of bagpipe music, but i feel here something more spiritual... 2017-03-15T21:58:03Z Comment by Dimitris Papadopoulos ok 2014-09-26T13:15:53Z Comment by T R A M P E L F Â D Großartig ! I love the way such tiny materials can produce something so huge and complex. I'll never get tired of the voice as instrument. Great work sir! 2014-07-25T11:34:12Z
