Who Do You Think You Are? by Elari Keasley published on 2019-07-13T08:06:59Z Art rock/alt rock with a fatalistic tone. Remnants, track 4. Written in 2013, recorded in 2018-19. Lyrics: Who do you think you are? Are you the judge, the jury, the executioner? Or are you just a freeloading sewage spewer? Do you believe a threat gives you the upper hand? Don't you see, you're a puppet like everyone else! Who do you think you are? Do you have a word in truth's contemplations? Do you control your own fate, life and death? How can anyone show respect for you? If no one's listening, who do you claim your fame to? Who do you think you are? Are you a guard, a lawyer, a professor? Or are you a trust breaker lost out of reality? Don't you see, you're a puppet like everyone else! Dancing and prancing as the master tells you to, talking and walking just the way he pulls the strings. But the best puppet masters don't need any strings. If none are attached, how can you cut yourself free? Can you ask him to save you, can you ask him to spare? Does he heed to your feelings, does he care what you want? All of your thoughts are imprinted by him, just as these words are imprinted by him, just as this voice is imprinted by him. As emotions are imprinted by him. Who do you think you are? Only he knows who you are, only he knows what you're made of, only he knows where you're bound. 'Cause he pulls more strings than there are, he pulls more strings than could ever fit in space.
