MISSION
EMA, or the Electronic Music Alliance, promotes electronic music and culture as an Art Form. We endeavor to advocate on behalf of our industry for legislation that affects our community, as well as showing the world we are a community of artists. In this way, we will ensure that our community not only survives, but thrives. We will advocate to our industry the principles of sustainability, minimizing our eco-logical footprint and leave no trace, event safety, drug policy reform, and gender equality. Our long term goals include setting up funds for artist emergencies, endowment funds for any art relating to our community, public service announcements, and the creation of a museum to honor our culture.
With the involvement of the dance music community we will be the “Sound of Change,” and support planetary sustainability while actively encouraging collaborations intent on bringing the world the best of what our Art has to offer. We have been inspired by the Earth Charter, and want to, promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace. All members recognize and try to honor our Manifesto.
