The Fox & Curlew Get Wed by enlimila published on 2011-08-05T17:45:05Z THE FOX AND THE CURLEW GET WED The Fox and the Curlew Decided to wed. She wore fine feathers And he dressed in red. Their union was blessed by a pious Gnu. When he said “Now will you…?” They both said “I do.” “Now who gives the hand Of this Curlew to wed?” “I do” the Giraffe With pleasure he said. The Service was held In an old caravan. With Larks for their bridesmaids And a Snipe for best man. And when the service was done And they’d both took their vows, They feasted on biscuits And cheese from the cows And they toasted their marriage By the light of the moon Then danced all the night To Squinancywort tunes. Now some folk may think That it’s rather absurd For a fox to be wed To a small gentle bird, But love conquers all, And their love was true And that is the story Of the Fox and Curlew. © enlimila 04/08/2011 Genre weddingwaltz Comment by Dave McKeown wonderful....Lear comparisons just to obvious but I'll make 'em anyway! 2012-03-23T13:53:37Z Comment by Caalamus ...thanks for the hight quality download! 2011-09-23T01:54:49Z Comment by Caalamus ...I dig the hamerons! Lord knows, we need it these days :] What a lovely, uplifting tune :] 2011-09-23T01:54:23Z Comment by Hot Buttered Bland Can't believe I haven't seen this before. It has been mad, wedding wise, and I've had a number of job interviews as well inbetween (none successful, yet). My son is best man, by the way, and he would prefer to be an eagle, not a snipe. Just so you know. 2011-09-02T11:38:05Z Comment by DOGMAN aka DAVID SANDS Brilliant lyric! 2011-08-17T10:26:29Z Comment by mr dodo Only just heard this.
