Abecedarians Smiling Monarchs (original 1983 demo) by fivershutch23 published on 2013-01-04T06:07:39Z Original demo recorded circa 1983 by the Abecedarians and was part of a demo tape that was mailed off to Factory Records and generated enough interest to have the Abecedarians record a 12" featuring "Smiling Monarchs" on the A-side and the B-side featured "Smiling Monarchs" both mixed by Bernard Sumner of New Order along with Donald Johnson of a A Certain Ratio. Their 1986 demo LP, Eureka, has recently been reissued as a deluxe edition on both vinyl and compact disc formats on the Los Angeles based record label Pylon Records.
