Reed Bunting - Llandegfedd - MixPre - 4663 by Gavin Vella published on 2021-07-09T16:46:05Z It's that transitioning period right now where the selection of singing birds is starting to thin out. It's not over yet though! Reed buntings seem to be still going strong, much to my happiness as there really wasn't much else singing today and it was such a beautiful day too! I've got to say, that this location is usually very difficult to record at with a dish, because the sound of the water inlet in the background is very loud, and can over-power the dish with off-axis sound, but using a Cardioid inside a dish (ccm 4) and two omni's outside of the dish (ccm 2's) it's really a game changer for me as the dish is just concentrating on the subject and the ccm2's are capturing the ambience in a more natural way.
