George Maund George Maund Wavertree Hi, I'm George. I've lived in Liverpool since 2005, and these are various examples of different projects I've been a part of since I arrived. Some are attempts at carving out a new musical language into the bedrock of this big old cave in the North West; others are pastiche, tribute or homage to certain styles. One day I may post pop songs I've promised people longer than the Dr. has harped on about Detox. Music here has been composed (or part-composed) by myself, often in collaboration with others. Tracks written and recorded between 2006 and 2012. Mary March was bootlegged by Paul Green in a pub in town, spring 2012. The piece consisted of two arpeggiating keyboards and turbo electric guitar, plus effects. The Horror; A Nightmare appears at the start of the Pariah Qarey track Ham Fisted Radio. Unsound Tracts and Incidental Gap were used as between-song ambient 'filler' during an Indica Ritual live show. Mallet Guitars One was written in conjunction with Benjamin Duvall and acts as the first outing of the project Ex-Easter Island Head. All three excerpts feature on the Low Point Records 12" release, available from November 2010. Recorded by Ste Cole. Defoliant Balaclava appears on the Pariah Qarey album Tha Freewheelin Kubic Zirkonia released by Upitup Records (www.upitup.com) in September 2009 as a free download.
