George Finley George Szczepanski Claymont George bought his first guitar in March of 1999 for eighty dollars. Neighborhood friend and schoolmate Rob Ealer frequently stopped over the check it out, performing his first song "Allelujia" in George's parents' basement. It was not a Jeff Buckley cover. Before their duo materialized, George worked on a project with high school class mates Paul Tsikitas and Aaron Rocks, tentatively called Royal Embassy, although many names were considered. When Rocks tumbled through a ground floor window and temporarily lost his ability to play the bass, the project floundered, until Ealer joined the duo to create Medical Donors. The addition of drummer John Arena in 2002 lead to George's first rock show, even though so many band names had been assumed and purported to be actual bands. This was the birth of Noringo, which was complete later that summer with the addition of bass player Warren Minnix. George's "no" vote on bringing Warren into the group was the single worst decision he has ever made, and it is regretted to this day. The band played primarily in skating rinks, and ruled South Jersey with an iron fist for years. The final show was played on George's 21st birthday. Immediately after the final show, another show was booked in the basement of the Emo House. It was epic. Baby powder was everywhere- believe me. Reunion performances continue every year or two to this day. With the fall of Noringo came some of George's first solo acoustic performances, primarily at open mic nights at Saint Joseph's University. Months of songwriting and practicing found George at the front of the band Bonebasket, with fraternity brother and drummer Tom Baumbach. After one show, where the band was billed as "Forty Foot Speedway", the group never spoke of rehearsing or playing shows again. No one knows what happened to any of the other members, who have disappeared. This entre into the glamorous life of a frontman could only be satisfied with more microphone, and apparently djembe. In the summer of 2007 George tried out to become the lead vocalist for the band Human Sounds with former bandmate Rob Ealer, bassist Brian Corbett, and drummer Pat Mooney of MoPhat. The band released the record "Headphone Graffiti" and a thousand records were sold (to the band). John Arena took over on drumming duties and the act played until a blurry end, somewhere in the general area of 2011/2012. The funk rock fury that the band brought to the New Jersey/Philadelphia area has not been forgotten by George's sister, Ginene.
