George krethlow Shaw George Krethlow Shaw Chelmsford George developed a love of drums and all things percussion from the age of 11, first cutting his teeth on punk, pop and rock and then developing his love of improvisation, funk and jazz. Known for being creative, reliable, flexible and with a high technical skill level George has studied drums full time at music college since the age of 16, working towards a BA Hons Degree in Music at UCC (Essex University). Along the way George’s own creative approach to playing the drums has been influenced by the artists: Joe Morello, Benny Greb and Jojo Mayer as well as Anton Eger of Phronesis. His eclectic style enabling him to not only to write and create original music with his instrumental band RAZ (Jazz, Funk, Rock,)(reaching the finals of Essex Undiscovered 2017) and on an individual basis, but also to work: in the recording studio, live as a session musician, on short film work and with cover bands (including Crystal Vision Band). Currently based in Essex with easy access to London it is George’s aim to provide peace of mind to those musicians needing: online session work studio sessions live performance composition.
