That I found in a book by James Joyce (d. 1941). A sequence of 48 letters of the set {A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H} ["eaaehhheecabegheafcaefcadaeegafhchhefeededefcaaa"] from this fragment of Joyce's "Finnegans Wake" (558.11-14): ["exaltation, still we think with Sully there can be no right extinuation for contravention of common and statute legislation for which the fit remedy resides, for Mr Sully, in corporal amputation"] was translated into 48 respectively pitched musical notes.
