Mireille Human
Perth
~ Music is life, that's why hearts have beats ~
Mireille Human a.k.a GirlLondon, is a beloved Perth based DJ, who is no stranger to the Music industry. Since the early 90’s, she’s been frequenting the clubs, raves and festivals of Perth and the UK. Her passion for music on the dance floor, now transported to behind the decks, clearly conveys her love of quality sounds and good vibes.
Being inspired by music from a very young age (buying her favourite songs on 45” and 33” records at the age of 10), it was no doubt that music was going to play a huge part in her life. After years of gracing many dance floors as a punter, her love for the music and desire to share that feeling with others, led her to learn the craft of DJ-ing in 2013. Since then, her dedication and passion has been evident. Putting her heart and soul into every one of her sets, GirlLondon’s unique style never fails to disappoint, taking you on an exquisite journey of sound.
Carefully curating her sets, GirlLondon’s huge love for Progressive and Melodic soundscapes, ‘sophisticated beats with exotic tribal samples, haunting melodies, hypnotising vocals, rolling baselines and a driving groove’, help her create journeys of epic proportions. Inspired by artists such as Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, Rafael Cerato, Miss Monique, Stylo, Gabreal Moreas, Hidden Empire & OC & Verde just to name a few. With her distinctive sound across multiple genres and an understanding of time and place, you can always expect fire from this lady!
Since her first gig in 2016 at HOUSE SESSIONS for Spectrum Audio AU, GirlLondon has worked hard as a DJ. Always putting her best foot forward, she represents some of Perth’s best crews as a Resident DJ. These include CONCEPT (supporting international acts - Drunken Kong & Cosmic Boys), Solouk (supporting THEMBA), Twisted Jah, God Said No & Pachamama Gatherings. In addition to this, she has played for clubs and promoters such as Boomtick (supporting Tall Paul & Dr Packer), Perth House Project (Supporting Matt Sassari), TAONS (Supporting Matan Caspi), Royal Jelly Productions, Addiction, Michael Douglas, Discopia, Sonus Sol, Restless, Lockdown Promotions, MadHatterz & Friends, Forest Rescue, Pulp Glitchin, Pura Vida, MVMNT, Nevermind Smallclub, Geisha Bar, Dark Under Events, Paradox (supporting Sean Tyas), Oshun Vibes, Sunset Beats, Splooge Lounge, Elysian Art & Music, BIOMA, Above All Else, Carte Blanche Events, DS Events & Yangebeats.
Always a great addition to a good set list, throughout her journey GirlLondon has shined and performed at some of the coolest parties, clubs and festivals across Australia. Some of these highlights include; consecutive Main Stage performances at Blossom Festival, alongside acts like Extrawelt & Eeemus, Perth’s regional Burn - Blazing Swan, in the God Said No pyramid, Wild Camp Out, Raindance Festival and Wonderland Music, Lifestyle & Arts Festival.
