Listen to the full album 'Andy Kaufman Lives' here: https://soundcloud.com/ice-cutters/sets/lost-souls-new-album-april-2016-alternative-rock-classic-indie-pop-americana-music-new-songs-bands. Here is a little song I put together for the Christmas period, 2015. I had the melody hanging around in my head for a few years. It is a homage to many songs, which make up the contents of this one. The style is 50's / 60's pop, rock and roll, harmony driven popular music such as Dion and the Belmonts, Frankie Vallie / Four Seasons and all that old fashioned stuff. What can I say? Let's have a willfully old-fashioned yuletide tune to get us all in the mood for the festive period. Merry Christmas everybody! Style: Rockabilly, Rock And Roll, Indie Pop, Alternative, Retro 50's Pop Music. Influences: Jackie Wilson, Dion And The Belmonts, Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons, The Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and too many more. Features: Bongos, Djembe, Handclaps, Jingle Bells, Danelectro Dano 63 Electric Guitar, Squier Jaguar Bass, Panther Combo Organ, Celesta (or Celeste).
Lyrics to Baby Don't You Cry Too Much:
We'll go to the grotto this Christmas
The magic and wonder will surround us
The spirit is there to be taken
So just embrace it and then you'll awaken
It is easy to be like Mister Scrooge
Even then, in the end, his heart melted too
It's a money ride, that I can't deny
But the smiles lift you up and they take you high
You know you cry too much, yeah you cry too much
But at Christmas it's right if you smile too much
Throw your problems away and get onto the sleigh
Now baby don't you cry too much
As we wait in the queue to see Santa
You behave like you’re gonna see a phantom
With your head in my chest all ashiver
Now Baby please don't you cry me a river
Though his clothes are red and his beard is white
And his belly is big and his eyes are bright
It is strange to see when you're only 3
But the gifts that he gives make us all believe
You know you cry too much, yeah you cry too much
But at Christmas it's right if you smile too much
Throw your problems away and get onto the sleigh
Now baby don't you cry too much
Instrumental
You know you cry too much, yeah you cry too much
But at Christmas it's right if you smile too much
Throw your problems away and get onto the sleigh
Now baby don't you cry too much
Now baby don't you cry too much
Now baby don't you cry too much
Now baby don't you cry too much
