Shades of Ang*r @ International Womens Day 2024 by jass.minute published on 2024-03-08T19:41:32Z Hello, I've recorded something for International Women's Day,. I decided to open my first track with the voice of Palestinian, London-based spoken word artist Rafeef Ziadah "Shades of Anger." My set concludes with the last track by Femtanyl, titled "Act Right." Both tracks address female anger, a sentiment often suppressed in society among individuals socialized as female. And exactly this anger sends us important signals, empowers us to resist the oppressive logics of domination. All in one: It's not just about my sisters in Palestine; it's also about my brothers, Adelphs, and queers in Sudan, Iran, Syria, and many more. I wish we would fight for all of them. And no: It does not detract from the debate when we acknowledge that different identities are affected by patriarchy. Remember: no one is free until everyone is free. IWD is every day. The rest of my playlist features FLINTA, BIPOC, POC, and queer artists, or involves producers who are FLINTA individuals. They are more so tracks that I like and unfortunately don't play often enough, or artists that I personally very much appreciate and love.
