Babypink (Feat. Hannah White) by Lewis Aung published on 2020-06-18T13:58:46Z This track is a first-rate example of the power of the internet and collaboration. Hannah White, an Events Management student at BIMM Bristol, posted on a university forum looking for some versatile Hip-Hop producers for a potential collab. Unfortunately, the response wasn’t exactly substantial and only a few producers answered the call. However, one such producer was Lewis Aung, an enthusiastic Hip-Hop producer who, thanks to the Music Production course he was taking, had an affinity for vocal production and smooth beats. The two teamed up sending demo’s back and forth for a few months before finally deciding to meet in the university’s recording studio, where the track ‘Babypink’ was conceived. The track is an amalgamation of Contemporary R&B with a ‘Lo-fi’ aesthetic. The ethereal synths and drunken Hip-Hop percussion set a beautifully warped backdrop for the witty and playful lyricism of Hannah White; who’s dreamy vocal envelops the track with a soothing aura, akin to artists like IAMDDB, Greentea Peng and Pip Millett.
