Five Simple Melodies for Piano by Luke Lyons - Conductor published on 2020-06-09T19:41:31Z These are five melodies I penned many years ago. I discovered an old composition notebook of mine, including the first movement of this, which was the first piece of music I had composed. Each piece is set in the same tonal scape, meant to elicit feelings of peace and relaxation, while embracing the warm tonal colors of the piano. While these might not be a challenge for the skilled pianist, music doesn't need to be complicated to embrace emotion. These pieces reflect my love of composes such as Aaron Zigman, James Newton Howard, and Harry Gregson-Williams, each of which has, in my opinion, mastered the art of less is often more when it comes to an emotional moment in film. I hope you enjoy these early works on mine as I continue to grow and evolve as a composer. Genre Classical
