Luna Maar Luna Maar is an up and coming singer-songwriter and guitar player based in Bucharest. In retrospect, she always found herself gravitating towards music, having started to sing at a very young age. At fourteen she picked up the guitar and things became a bit more serious, but still at a hobby level, nonetheless. Around the time when she was finishing high school, she decided to pursue music professionally by enrolling in the National University of Music in Bucharest, Romania. During this period, Luna took part in several musical projects, one of them being a band called Spectrum, which performed mostly covers. In 2014, Luna began exploring the new and exciting world of songwriting, which became her main focus. Fast forward to 2022, Luna Maar is now an artist who finally found her voice and is ready to share it with the world, therefore her debut album, “Deadweight” will be released later this year. Luna Maar’s music is, above all, honest. The genre in which most of her songs tend to sit is folk/singer-songwriter . However, you can expect various influences to emerge constantly, given the fact that fitting into a genre is not something she values. Luna’s songwriting style is focused on letting a song be born however it wants to, without forcing it to fit into a predetermined box. Lyrics wise, she mostly draws inspiration from her own life experiences and feelings, viewing music almost like a best friend in whose presence you can be your truest self.
