How many time will Lynda's TITLE have to change ? Now it's The Ukraine we're praying for! God Please " Give Them All One More Day!"
Afghanistan and the World are our concerns these days.
I usually toss and turn each morning with a "song echoing' in my brain;
Last week it was the one I was working on with Adriano;
Today it was this one, hard to find, by FredGold & LyndaFaye ten years
ago...How Sad for the whole world this Afghanistan situation has become!
Surely the good aspects and fighters for the preservation of humanity are becoming exhausted!
So many of you on Soundcloud have come to listen to our song that I feel is my sort of subconscious, underlying "interpretation" of the concept of " Seasons."
Yesterday, is turning grey,
The sky is blue, today.
Tomorrow, may never come.
Black is the night...to hide the sun.
CH:
The tide rolls in, and the tide rolls out,
On the shore, they want to stay,
The tide rolled in, and the tide rolled out;
God gave them...one more day.
Two:
Yesterday, is turning yellow.
Golden leave, fall on the ground.
Gently floating through the meadow,
Changing color, now to brown.
Chorus:
The tide rolls in, and the tide rolls out,
On the shore, they want to stay,
The tide rolled in, and the tide rolled out;
God gave them...one more day.
Changing color like the day;
Changing life in many way..
On the colors we all gaze;
But see the light, through the haze ?
(Yep Chorus Again!)
The tide rolls in, and the tide rolls out,
On the shore, they want to stay,
The tide rolled in, and the tide rolled out;
God gave them...one more day.
Three:
They are tired of the fighting,
They are tired of the war;
Please bring them home, again to us.
And let the fighting- be no more.
(Repeat of the "Color-Picture" from Verse One)
Yesterday, is turning grey,
The sky is blue, today.
Tomorrow, may never come.
Black is the night...to hide the sun.
Fred 's ending was a surprise to even ME.
The EFFECT on his guitar....
A bit reminiscent of TRUMPETS to me, that they
play at funeral sights of our military?
As I was hearing about Afghanistan, I kept thinking, the video
on You Tube was placed as a dedication to "our " vets; yet
the feel of the song was more universal than just
American---Guess I was right-Allot of viewers have "liked" it and
"get it" and the more worldly significance ?
WE ARE ALL TIRED OF IT-EVERYWHERE, NOW!
Copyrighted 2015 by Illinois Harmony Connection (FredGold&LyndaFaye)!
Nice effect; Thanks Fred!
