Lamina & Kitchen Cynics - Objets Transitionnels by MONTAGE published on 2023-10-02T14:00:28Z In recent years we have noticed a strong trend for pastoral tendencies in experimental culture. Within the unsettling, swirling, data-streams of the internet age, people seem to take comfort into connecting with nature and sublimity through folklore. The industrial dreams of science-fiction are slowly being reduced to hauntology, as the economy grows more important than the people working in it. To be able to find a moment throughout the day, where someone shares honest emotions that make us dream of touching grass, feels blissful, if not necessary. This is exactly what this split tape does to us. We were extremely happy when we got the chance to release some music of Kitchen Cynics, and felt it would work amazingly with Lamina’s work. We thus invited them to work on this album that we’re now so eager to present to you. The title of the tape, Objets Transitionnels, refers to items children use to provide psychological comfort, especially in unusual or unique situations. Let this music carry you through these unusual times. Don’t forget to love your neighbour.
