The release will contain also the original short-time version. Bourbonese Qualk came into existence in 1979, and put out a stream of confrontational albums through much of the '80s and into the early '90s. After a long pause, their final album, On Uncertainty, came out in 2001, and the band disbanded the next year after the death of guitarist Miles Miles. "Lies", a terse, TR 808 driven electro-tinged cut just under two minutes long, originally came out in 1986 on the Preparing For Power LP by way of the group's own label Recloose Organization. It's somehow surprising to hear an AM remix that is more in the synthpop/darkwave vein. Sounds more like Philippe Fichot, if you ask me. The urgency and harshness of the original is completely lost. Nevertheless, it's still kind of hypnotising. Maybe it'll grow on me after repeated listenings. 2015-02-11T14:45:10Z Comment by John Protox a sophisticated Audio Meal by AM 2015-02-11T10:11:21Z Comment by Joy splendid 2015-02-10T18:14:21Z Comment by adaracd super 2015-02-10T17:36:20Z Comment by BlackBlackGold sickkk 2015-02-10T14:03:29Z
