Mike Pain is a Revolutionary, the voice for his people. He started in the entertainment field with acting and Hip-Hop music, but he saw his community falling apart and decided he could really help in a different way.
Mike Pain is a community activist that believes he can make a difference not only through music and film, but through getting involved. Mike Pain is the leader of The Original Black Panthers Organization.
Mike Pain was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but resides in and represents Norfolk, Va. He got into music because he believes it’s a universal language and an outlet to reach people and share his life. Mike Pain is the two-time award winner for Best Actor at the 5th and 6th Annual Black Men Rock Image Awards for Best Conscious Hip-Hop Artist and Best Actor of 2018. Mike Pain has been in the game since 2006. He released an album in 2007 and appeared in TV commercials to give him that household name in his state. He recently released a Hip-Hop Black History album and has introduced it to the school system as a tool for their curriculum. He has worked with Drew Sidora (from BET’s The Game), Kenny Wray, Kill Will (producer of Fire Flame with Lil Wayne), DJ K-Swiss, and Mr. LPD. He also has single hits on mix CD's such as: Playa Tight Radio Volume 3 mixed tape (hosted by Mr. LPD, stamped by DJ Drama), and Massive All-stars Presents Tax Season: The Ben Franklin Hustlers Edition by DJ K-Swiss. Mike Pain, a man of many talents, also has Four leading roles to his resume; the movie "Incomplete" (in Walmart stores around the US and currently has over 5 million views on you tube), the Christian- based film "The Deal", the fast paced thriller "Tidewater", and the cult Classic “Midtown”, which all sold out in Imax theaters Twice over in his home state of Virginia.
His performances have been across states and the globe; in Miami FL. Numerous shows in ATL GA (Ben Hill Day, Salute the DJ Awards Show, The Atrium, Dugan's, etc.). In VA (The Norva [which received newspaper recognition], The Amphitheater and various VA clubs), and performances overseas include Turkey, Greece and Spain.
Mike Pain as an Activist, has landed on national news outlets, and social media platforms across the country, he fights against injustice, racism, oppression, and inequality. He is a pillar of his community and loves to help out those in need.
His influences musically are Tupac, Ice Cube, T.I., Public Enemy, Do or Die, Eminem, R.Kelly, Aerosmith, Motown and Doo-Wop. Other influences include Malcolm X, Islam, and Dr. Huey P Newton.
If you ask what inspires him, he will say, "Life, struggle, and the act of winning against all odds". He feels moving people with his music and message is unique and a wonderful thing and also a blessing to be able to do. Mike Pain is looking to bring a fresh new style, a message and a flavor, that the game has been missing. Mike Pain gives his fans more of what they love him for: pleasure, pain, his life, and yes, phenomenal music.
