NatalieHugillPerformer Natalie (Nat) Hugill has trained as an actress for theatre, film and television. Her training started at a young age with the Uxbridge Theatre Company for four years. She has completed various acting courses with prolific actors, practitioners and casting directors such as Terry DeAth. Natalie also studied theatre and drama at Waikato University with John Davies (original member of the world renowned theatre group Red Mole) and Auckland University. Nat has performed in over 13 theatre productions including 'Oliver Twist', 'The Devil You Know', 'Titus Andronicus' and in the 44th Annual Auckland University Summer Shakespeare production of 'Merchant of Venice'.She also has experience in on-screen acting, her most notable include scoring the co-lead role in NZ band Collapsing Cities music video, playing a 'Tortured Soul' thrice on the popular TVC 'Legends of the Seeker', playing the lead role in the short film 'Roman Candle (which screened at Rialto Cinemas, Hamilton) and being a featured performer in the 2011 48 Hour Film Fest entry 'Standing in Your Shoes', which won the 'Best Costume' Category at the 2011 40 Hour Film Festival Grand Final. For the past three years however, Natalie has extended her repertoire to not just include theatre and TV work, but she has also performed in over 25 live performance shows, ranging from MCing for Dr Sketchy Auckland, to devising experimental performance art for Stranger Things 4. Natalie's experience in MCing first started with MCing for her show Lilly Loca's Vaudeville Cabaret where she was able to let herself loose upon the unsuspecting audience. Since the first LLVC show in June 2011, she has landed herself MCing events such as Pain Awareness Month and Dr Sketchy Auckland. She is a master of improv and relates well to any audience. Nat has trained in Latin American and Ballroom Dancing for four years but is also experienced in contemporary/modern dance, cabaret, burlesque, hip-hop and aerobics. She has trained in light opera with Hilary Wels and continues to sing whilst performing in cabaret acts. Nat is also the Director of Va-Va-Voom Productions, that aims to create vivacious and unique cabaret, burlesque, vaudeville and theatre shows to entertain and titillate audiences all around New Zealand. It is the home to NZ's top vaudeville revival show, Lilly Loca's Vaudeville Cabaret and the sensually alluring Dark Horse Cabaret that will be debuted in 2013, as well as many other events such as 60's club night Pussy Liquor, B-Boy vs. Burlesque and more!
