N. Patterson Nick Patterson Montreal Born in Montreal, Nick Patterson was raised in a bilingual environment where English and French were but one language. While his debuts were made as a leading member of numerous punk bands, he drifted away from the punk scene and grew into a more in-depth, personal approach with his music and songwriting style. The artist has shared stages with Lewis Watson, Bobby Bazini, Kim Churchill and many more. Hard work, time and perseverance have all provided Nicolas with grand opportunities such as touring across Europe a few times over, as well as playing at more than 150 shows across Canada & the United States. In February 2017, Nick’s debut EP “Everything Is Changing” was released, and with it came an unmistakable folk flow intertwined with light and bright pop. Nick embarked on a journey that led him all over the province of Quebec playing in festivals (St-Jerome Folk Fest, International Balloon Festival of St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu), opening for various artists to promote this release and to further develop his craft. Eager to broaden his horizons and to reach a new crowd, the songwriter decided to head back to California where he wrote over a dozen new songs and played at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). This was also when he got to meet Todd Stopera (Butch Walker, Brian Fallon, Weezer, Fall Out Boy) a Santa Monica based record producer. The prolific duo, who clearly hit it off, recorded 3 new tracks in 3 days, which will be featured on Patterson’s next release. Somehow all the hard work and hours put in over the last four years, spent touring and writing are finally paying off, as everything is starting to fall into place for Nick Patterson.
