r_evolution_mixtape by Phil Smart published on 2016-04-19T02:22:09Z Music and art have always been powerful tools for catalysing change. Right now, more than ever, we need our musicians, artists and creative types to turn their talents toward affecting positive change in the world. I’ve long thought it would be great to see a proper modern protest music movement, and don’t think there’s nearly enough music that expresses a political view, provokes thought or raises awareness. So I’ve been collecting tracks like that for a while now, and have finally gathered enough to put together a little mix to share. After all, they can’t quite censor music (yet). *With gratitude to the artists who made these tracks and took the chance to say something meaningful with their music.
