Originalmente, la idea de mezclar elementos de rock con elementos de música clásica nace en 1976. Víctor Divita (guitarra) y su hermano Alex (batería), imaginaron una banda con estas características, y la llamaron en principio: Átropos. Por la búsqueda de músicos adecuados al proyecto pasaron años y personas. En noviembre de 1995, con Marcos Ávila en bajo, se establece una formación apropiada para aplicar viejas composiciones con ideas nuevas. Ya bajo el nombre QUARK, y con decisiva influencia del King Crimson de los ochenta, se forma un trío instrumental.
En 1999 el trío se transforma en cuarteto con la incorporación de Cristian Lobo, aunque conservan la estructura instrumental.
A partir del 2000, con el alejamiento de Lobo y Ávila, los hermanos Divita comienzan la búsqueda de músicos para el proyecto. Esa ahí cuando aparece Ness, que además de guitarrista era vocalista. A partir de allí la banda no será solo instrumental: se incorporarán composiciones nuevas, y las viejas piezas instrumentales serán reinventadas para albergar letras. No obstante, la banda continuará teniendo una fuerte impronta instrumental. Se une a ese proceso de transformación una pieza fundamental, no solo en lo musical, sino también como fuerza directriz: Hugo Galasso, quien aporta desde sus líneas de bajo una solidez irreemplazable.
Luego de un año de ensayo los temas van encontrando su forma. Participan en el programa de televisión "Music Expert", en un concurso de bandas del año 2001, y poco tiempo después se separan.
Jamás grabaron en estudio. El material aquí presentado son versiones de ensayos (las mejores en cuanto a sonido y expresión), grabadas en vivo en una portastudio Tascam 464, y digitalizadas posteriormente por Ness.

Originally, the idea of mixing elements of rock with elements of classical music born in 1976. Victor Divita (guitar) and his brother Alex (drums), envisioned a band with these features, and named in principle: Atropos. By finding the right musicians and people spent years project.
