It's Not Pretty, It's Rock & Roll (Official Release) by RockIt Séance published on 2021-02-11T10:55:14Z From Manchester's 1970/80’s to RockIt Séance in 2020, Mick Cope has written songs inspired by the mood of what goes on around his life. From the packed pubs and clubs of 80’s Manchester - the SpreadEagle, the Witchwood, The Swinging Sporen The Pheonix, Jilly's, Band on the Wall, UMIST, Manchester Polytechnic - and plenty others - catering for all tastes, selling their cheap beer, sex, drugs...and a hell of a lot of rock ‘n’ roll. Moving to London...1989 - part of the energy that gathered on South London’s Clapham Common in 'the Summer of Love'. Then a student life in North London during early 90's - more music, pubs and clubs, the Powerhouse - Islington! A wild year in Frankfurt am Main. Then suddenly Jutland, Denmark…caught in a fight to stay, to work, to raise children and the nearest Mick got to music for 20 years was a cheap, ‘cigarette-ash stained’ Yamaha guitar. Fast-forward to 2010, the death of a love and friend from Mick's creative past...but not before she had shown him the way back to sanity - the purchase of a Peavy American Customhouse Signature guitar, 200-watt Hiwatt Amplifier then 2015 the ‘start a band again’ moment - Wine By The Glass - a 3 piece band playing raw, pulsating, post-punk revivalist...tunes. The change of name in 2018-now with two exceptional talents Mark & Gabor they are turning the musical rawness into aggressive, irresistible audio packages! Late 2020-RockIt Séance released their first single ‘It’s Not Pretty’ - A definite Covid-19 Breaker! Genre Rock
