Cliff Swallow Nest Chatter and Song by Andy Martin, Field Recordist published on 2021-06-28T08:13:16Z Cliff Swallows, Petrochelidon pyrrhonota, are garrulous, squeaky, clanky, just all-around awesome little birds. Highly social birds that often live in massive colonies, they nest in cracks and crevices in cliff walls -- hence their name -- making their homes out of mud and sticky spit. Yum. Often "singing" from the entrance of their home, close recording is extremely difficult. This short collection were captured with a parabolic, isolated, and processed clean for sound effects' use.
