New York City
Audiences have most recently enjoyed live performances of my original music throughout New York City at venues like Oculus World Trade Center, Sing for Hope Port Authority, Soul Motif, XChangeArtistBk, Brooklyn Live Sundays at Basquiats Bottle, One Mic Nite at Cheryls’ Global Soul, LIVE MONDAYS, The Gathering at Bronx Art Space, XChangeArtistBk, Brooklyn Live Sundays at Basquiats Bottl, as part of the culminating performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater AileyCamp, and throughout the film, “MALOU.”
Since 2007, with a collective of musicians from New York City, Louisville, Toronto, rural New Hampshire, and Atlanta, I have done over 150 shows, released an album “The Music of Transition,” and 15 singles. The Mountain-Funk-Jam-Sessions of the VON JERRYT & THE BEEZE Soundcloud page deserves a separate honorable mention! Click that link, and enjoy that goodness!
Highlights from the past few years:
In 2012 my song “Hope for the Future,” made its Film and TV debut in the “Little Brother” documentary, and on Season 1 of BET APOLLO LIVE.
The next year, Fashion One TV chose several songs for their programming, which aired in 120 Countries.
In 2013 and 2014, the Canadian Broadcast Company accepted the music into its library, and I was featured between Quest Love and Chrisette Michelle at Restoration Rocks!
Vibes in 2015 and 2016 included some transformative experiences with the awesome audiences of SehiiiNYC and Cheryls Global Soul in Brooklyn. Those performances, other sessions, releases, and rehearsal antics here. In October 2016, I made it into rotation in my hometown of Louisville, on WCHQ FM!
I will continue to create original music from my heart and life experiences, with an intention to give audiences joy and power.
