Chance - from Four Pieces for Piano and Computer by Steve Stelios Adam published on 2014-07-14T10:30:19Z Chance is one of four pieces commissioned for and performed by pianist Sonya Lifschitz. As for the whole suite, this piece (loosely) references a Brahms work: In this case Study No.5 (for left hand alone) after Bach's Chaconne. The computer materials are not pre-recorded but created in real-time from the piano performance. These pieces were composed between late 2011 and early 2012 and received their first performance in September 2012 in Melbourne. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
