Cuts Marked in the March of Men by The Bronson Price published on 2023-06-07T17:35:05Z A wonderful little song from Coheed and Cambria's album IKSOSE3. I can't seem to find vocal range with this song, but I enjoy playing it so much on guitar that I had to take a shot at recording it anyways. The song - to my understanding - is about Jessie: The Inferno, waging a rebel war against the Red Army and failing miserably, namely at the fact that his IRO-Bot replacement for Cambria by name of Chase, has been captured. It's in this "last hour stand" that he realizes how much he needs her to win this war, that going on without her seems a lost cause. It's in this despair he cries out "here, take me instead... I'd rather not see her off alone..." Any man - hell, any person that has ever had someone in their life that literally meant the world, the sentiment in this song (especially the originally acoustic version) should tear your heart to shreds; to consider "the one that you have loved in dreams is here among the others" they, having been captured, and to yell out in anguish "Here, take me instead".
