The International Rescue Committee is opening a center in Missoula to welcome refugees, probably from the Democratic Republic of Congo or Syria. And for some residents, such as Donnette Coate recorded here at a neighborhood barbecue, it's hard to come around to the idea. "They're talking on the news that these people cut people's heads off," says Coates, who is 60 years old and a housekeeper.
