Exit Bert(Jansch) (wk39/52) by Wes Martin published on 2011-10-07T12:55:11Z Week 39 from the 'weekly noise' project, a tune a week for the whole of 2011. http://thespeedofsoundblogcast.wordpress.com/ Very sadly this week Bert Jansch died. A true guitar legend and inspiration to countless folkies n rockers alike. He was the man. This is my tribute, in the style of Bert. He would have done it with infinitely more style however. RIP Bert Jansch Guitar, Percussion. I put up a rendition of Angie as a tribute. It was only years later I found out it wasnt his, but it's what made me want to play fingerstyle guitar.. Bert inspired and made it all look too easy! 2011-11-06T23:52:10Z Comment by Cristina Vane like the bluesy feel here 2011-10-26T18:56:54Z Comment by deep man grooving' playing+++++++++ 2011-10-23T11:34:19Z Comment by The Gentle Good What a great tribute to Bert. Great tribute. 2011-10-11T18:14:13Z Comment by Bergman This is such a fine tribute to the great man. This is completely in his style, very impressive. The early British folkmen were very bluesy which comes across here. But how could you avoid it being a bit Ukeleleboy as well? ;-) I was lucky to see Bert Jansch play in 1999, brill! 2011-10-11T18:04:22Z Comment by Wes Martin @david-colley: Cheers man, its all string bending, no slide.
