Montreal Main From Atlast! Album 1981© B.Glenn - Copeland SOCAN by Beverly Glenn-Copeland published on 2016-12-07T20:26:13Z This is a driving piece, strangely about spiritual seeking. The original name was 'Buddha in the Palm', but I wrote it as the central song for a film called Montreal Main. And so the name changed. I have always been a percussionist, whether on guitar, piano or hand drums. My mother used to moan in pain as I drove our family's grand piano across the floor practicing this song on the occasions of my visits. I think it frightened her. She was so much more familiar with my father's brilliant renditions of Chopin, no matter how turbulent they were. Oh well. We are what we are. Eventually she came to love all that I was and am, for which I feel eternally blessed. Genre Cross
