Nexiio Kappa Edickson Dominguez The Bronx The musical career of Nexiio Kappa, also known as Edickson Dominguez, came at a pivotal moment in his teenage years. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York, Edickson has constantly shifted and overlapped between the worlds of English and Spanish music. From a young age Edickson channeled his passion for music through freestyle with friends. On August 1, 2018 Edickson was arrested by federal police in New York and was placed under house arrest shortly after. Though negative at the time, house arrest became a blessing in disguise that would force Nexiio into his musical destiny. With endless freetime and no distractions, Nexiio focused on his music and began to attend studio sessions with other local artists. One of his first studio sessions in an NYC apartment, Nexiio recalls the overwhelming reaction from his peers praising his talent for the first time. It would be in this moment he recognized absolute and pure love in music. Currently involved with Until Forever Free Records, Nexiio is currently working on a variety of new projects releasing in the near future. Remaining genuine to the roots of drill, Nexiio’s music tells explicit stories of his experiences and of others to the deep background beats that are characteristic of drill music. Nexiio Kappa will be one of the names at the front wave of bridging latin drill music into the mainstream.
