Episode 21: Gender Integration and Citizenship: A Civ-Mil Perspective with Dr. Bradford Wineman by Marine WIT published on 2022-02-02T16:27:41Z Welcome to the next discussion of the Marine Women’s Initiative Team. For those of you unfamiliar with our group we are a grassroots organization of women – and men! - who seek to improve the recruitment, retention, and employment of women in the Marine Corps. I’m Sharon Sisbarro and before we get started I want to give a disclaimer: the views expressed here are those of the group and do not reflect the official policy or position of the Marine Corps, the Department of the Navy, Department of Defense, or the US Government. And the Marine WIT is not an official presence of the US Marine Corps. Tonight’s discussion is with Dr Bradford Wineman, a member of the Marine Corps University’s Command and Staff College faculty since July 2008. He holds a BA in History from VMI, and a Masters and PhD in History from Texas A&M University. In addition to being a professor, Dr Wineman is also a Marine reservist. His research specialties include American military education and civil-military relations. Tonight’s topic is based on a Civil-Military article Dr Wineman wrote for a NATO publication where he addresses Gender Integration through a civ-mil lens. Genre Learning
