Victoria (toy) DeIorio combines her multiple careers to continually produce her art in theatre. With a BFA in Musical Theatre, and studying classical acting in London at RADA and LAMDA, she transitioned from the performance artistry to the technical. Her compositions and sound design have been heard Off-Broadway: A Christmas Carol @ St. Clements; Two Point Oh @ Primary Stages; Cassie's Chimera @ Joe's Pub (the Public); The Bluest Eye with Steppenwolf @ The Duke Theatre; and Ophelia @ the The Connelly. National Tour: Private Lives with LA Theatre Works. Regionally she has worked with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Goodman, Steppenwolf Theatre, Milwaukee Shakespeare, First Stage, Victory Gardens, Northlight Theatre, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Indiana Repertory, and other national theatres; as an associate designer at Milwaukee Rep, People’s Light and Theatre, and Geva Theatre. In Chicago she has designed productions with Writers’ Theatre, The Next Theatre, Remy Bumppo, eclipse theatre company, Lifeline Theatre, Light Opera Works, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, and other smaller storefront theatres. She has been nominated for 11 Joseph Jefferson Awards, winning 6, and she has received 2 After Dark Awards for Fiddler on the Roof, and The Shadow. Victoria is a founding member of Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, and ensemble member with Lifeline Theatre, and an Artistic Associate with The Next Theatre. She is the head of Sound Design at The Theatre School of DePaul University. She has produced 2 CD's of her original music with her band ToyBand.
