VILLY RAZE Villy Raze Liverpool "A mixture of folk, punk, pop and ska. Lyrically macabre, powerful songwriting and edgy delivery. Youthful wisdom and a unique storytelling quality." Originally hailing from South west Ireland, Villy moved to Liverpool and lived in a recording studio which was also a refuge for local creatives and general nutters. It was here that Villy learned his craft and where he formed the seminal group The Dead Class. In the ensuing six years he would spend his time touring worldwide clocking hundreds of gigs and releasing three studio albums along the way. Since the hiatus of The Dead Class in 2012 Villy has been busy writing, recording and collaborating on bass for the pop punksters Sheepy who have been championed by 6music and other national radio stations. 2014 see's the release of Villy's first solo e.p titled "De Novo" on Antipop Records. De Novo is a mixture of folk, punk, pop and ska, with the lyrical content delving into some tragic and macabre subjects. 2015 will see Villy's debut album being released. Stay tuned.
