Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata (Vince Eastwood Bootleg Flip) by Vince Eastwood published on 2011-05-19T15:16:01Z my tribute to the man, the genius of the German composer, Ludwig Van Beethoven. Beethoven's life, like other geniuses in other fields, is one of struggles and painful despair. His hearing began to deteriorate at an early age, and it had affected so much his outlook in life and his desire to pursue his work in music. It has been said that his hearing impairment was attributed to syphilis, among other things. He experienced a number of tragedies in life that drove him to contemplate committing suicide. He spoke many times of his deep despair and desolation. Guided and inspired by a young blind woman, he composed his masterpiece, Moonlight Sonata, imagining the footsteps of those who carried the coffin of his beloved patron, the German prince, whose death has devastated his life. The prince was almost a father to him. Years later, he composed his magnum opus, Ode to Joy, in his Ninth Symphony. It was to be his expression of gratitude to God for having overcome his intention to kill himself. He had to be gently turned around facing the audience to see the applause of the crowd that watched his concert, as he could not hear the applause and the reaction of audience. He was infinitely thankful to the young blind woman for keeping him on track, that despite being blind, she imagined the "weaves" of moonlight after she declared "I would give everything see the moonlight". That changed Beethoven's life. Genre Electronic Comment by Mindfraction Nice one ;) 2012-05-25T12:03:16Z
